Japanese Expatriates Visit Fuqing Huangbo Culture Promotion Association for Spring Festival GreetingsPhoto Courtesy of Fuqing Huangbo Culture Promotion Association On February 17, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, Li Yunshu, Executive Vice President of the Japan Fujian Economic and Cultural Promotion Association and Vice President of the Japan Huangbo Culture Promotion Association, along with Soma Keiko, Executive President of the Japan-China Fuqing Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Japan Huangbo Culture Promotion Association, visited the Fuqing Huangbo Culture Promotion Association for Spring Festival greetings 。
The Japanese expatriates were warmly welcomed by Lin Wenbin, Zheng Songbo, and Huangbo culture scholar Lin Guanchao of the Fuqing Huangbo Culture Promotion Association. Both parties exchanged New Year greetings before engaging in a friendly discussion。
During the discussion, both parties celebrated the recent success of the "Chinese Red Lights Up Tokyo Tower on New Year's Eve" event and fondly reminisced about previous iterations of the event.Participants noted that the event of lighting up Tokyo Tower in Chinese red embodies the efforts and unity of the expatriate Chinese community in Japan.As a landmark building in Japan, lighting up Tokyo Tower in Chinese red during the Chinese Lunar New Year conveys sincere Spring Festival greetings to Chinese expatriates in Japan, friendly people across Japan, and viewers in China. Amid the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, it also sends a message of determination, confidence, love, and hope for worldwide solidarity in fighting the pandemic.The "Chinese Red Lights Up Tokyo Tower" event has become a symbolic activity for Sino-Japanese friendly exchanges。
The Fuqing Huangbo Culture Promotion Association expressed gratitude to the expatriate Chinese community in Japan for their support and participation in promoting the Huangbo culture over the years.
